Carl and Andrea are the owners of Penistone Camper Hire, a subsiduary of Firth Campers Ltd who are a camper conversion company with over 20 years experience of converting campers.

For the last 10 years, we have been converting Ford Transit Custom vans into campervans, helping our customers achieve their dream camper and building a camper that fits their lifestyle. We’ve kept thinking that we should probably offer hire, who better placed than us with our mountain of experience!?

So finally we have done it!!

Hire a Camper

Book

Use our live online booking system to book your holiday. Once you have booked, we will be in touch with information relevant to your upcoming trip.

Reserve your camper

In order to confirm your booking and reserve your camper, we require a 25% deposit. The remaining balance is due 6 weeks before your camper hire begins. A security deposit of £750 is required 3 days before your hire begins.

The security deposit will be refunded to you 1 week after you return the camper to us subject to our terms and conditions.

Day of collection

Your camper will be ready for you to collect from 1pm and can be collected up to 4pm. If you cannot collect within this time, please contact us.

When you come to pick up your camper, we will give you a full demonstration on how everything works before you set off on your travels. You will need to allow around an hour for this. You can then leave your car with us for the duration of your hire.

(Although we have a secure car park, vehicles are left at your own risk).

Camper Hire Insurance & Insurance paperwork

Insurance is offered for up to 2 named drivers (providing all relevant documents are received for both drivers – see terms and conditions) aged between 25 – 79. Drivers need to have held a clean licence for a minimum of 2 years.

We also offer insurance for European (under 70 yrs of age), Australian, New Zealand licence holders, and can sometimes offer insurance to American, Canadian and South African licence holders with previous experience of driving in the UK (proof required).

All drivers must provide proof of identity and address before the start of hire. The address on your driving licence must be up to date. Please see our Terms and Conditions for full details of what you will need to provide.
